A Garden Under Darkness

And the want goes on and on
I wish you were in my arms
I wish you were in my bed
I wish we were in the garden
tending to the nightshades
so that they grow up strong

If I could have that
If I could have just that
Do you think we ever get exactly what we want
Do you think we ever know exactly what we want

If you’re not in my arms
it don’t matter how we're dressed
it don’t matter how we’re torn
and broken by the world
I wander the garden at night alone
and the want goes on and on

If I could have that
If I could have just that
Do you think we ever get it
Do you think we ever know
A Garden Under Darkness

  1. Wishes had been the simplest of things from my first thought, even simpler than a garden. Some people choose to pick up a fancy watering can, memorize the genus of a flower, but all flowers know what it feels like to be watered and many stars have yet to be named; it is simple.

⍟ <—This star’s name is Jimbo. Around Jimbo circles the gas giant, Signa-13 f and the Neptune-like Bruno-3 e. It’s a pleasant star system, insofar as such things are measured.
