While waiting
for a creaking
elevator to arrive,
two women discuss
a lost earring.
Their feet tap.
Their eyes shift.
Their voices ache.
Their elev ator opens.
Their concerns linger.
Captures the mood pretty well=)

The poetry of the mundane… And a clever use of formatting… a lovely capture of a moment, the kind of ephemeral bric-a-brac which escapes into oblivion immediately after entering the past.
