It got kinda cold.
It iced.
Our power went out.
This is how we survived the night:
Then it slushed.
Then it rained.
Then it froze.
Then it slushed again and all was well.
w00t! (not a real word.)
Then I listened to New Jack City.
Then I took a rockin’ shower.
Then I went to sleep and woke up and went to work and got on my computer and tooled around on some UNIX boxes and drank a hot cuppa and listened to NPR.
It was a pretty sweet storm.
Those are some funny lookin’ checkers.
they’re new, six-dimensional checkers.
Wow, that picture’s hot, Jas. Fun post.
I’m unbelievably jealous of your fireplace!! I’m bringing the Scrabble board and an air mattress during the next ice storm — slumber party!
i LOVE scrabble! But jay prefers chess so he can win. 😛
i prefer chess to scrabble because i can never make more than a 3-letter word (i know my game weaknesses). pretty much though i prefer chess to every game.
I taught (reminded) Jes how to play a few months back.
Then she beat me a few times. We haven’t played in a while.
I always kick her ass at scrabble though.
And how can you of all people suck at scrabble? You’re a freakin poet for cryin out loud.
I love New Jack City. Hopefully the soundtrack is the only place we’ll ever see 2 Live Crew and Color Me Badd together.
My Newcastle helped you survive…I feel a tear.
yes. that newcastle helped me survive several nights in a row…god bless you.
