A tale of karma in action

One day, some friends of ours put some checks in their mail to pay some bills.

A month goes by and new bills come, double the amount of last month’s charges.

“WTF?” say our friends and call the companies charging all this money.

“We never received last month’s payment,” claim the companies.

Our friends, figuring a postal error, cut new checks and get their bills paid.

Then one day a police officer calls our friends. “Yes, is this so-and-so?”

“Yes.”

“Well, we found one of your checks.”

“Excuse me?”

“Yes, we found one of your checks in and amongst some car wreckage.”

“Wow.”

Moral: Be good. Payback’s a mutha.
